TRANSITS

A video screening by VisualContainer

Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 April 2012, from 6.00 to 9.00 p.m.

The project Transits aims to investigate the idea of transit and of the going through in an personal or collective framework, on different levels (anthropological, psychological, social, geographic…), through a selection of the most recent video works out of the VisualContainer archive.

The heterogeneity of the proposals and languages reflects the multitude of crossings and intersections that are possible to be experimented today for the construction of our daily existence and our identity as individuals and as a group: even in the contemporary world, where spread technology and connectivity are easily multiplied, continuous and unthinkable transits, the concept and the possibility of crossing any kind of territories remains, as it always was, the main condition to unveil and reveal the differences, and to merge them finally into synergy and empathy.

The transits of video talk about all ways we allow ourselves and should also allow in order to join ourselves.
