At MACT/CACT just arrived a first new deposit of 15 artworks on paper by the Swiss artist Martin Lauterburg (1891, Neuenegg – 1960, Berne) today completely and unfairly forgotten. Painter of considerable quality, Martin Lauterburg has been active within the first half of the Nineteenth century by documenting, interpreting and feeling his era then changing across time, just like he has been able to overcome in a subtly personal way the academic world of that time.
