The CACT Center of Contemporary Art in Canton Ticino was established in 1994, whose mission is, basically, to organise contemporary art exhibitions and launch thematic publications. Since 1996 CACT membership cards offer free entries in several Swiss Museums and Contemporary Art Centers, included an Italian Museum, in order to spread out all over the national territory important information about Art and Culture in Switzerland. In 2009, the CACT transforms into MACT/CACT Museum and Center of Contemporary Art in Canton Ticino, whose focus is to increase a collection with deposits and loans from private art collectors.

In line with the cantonal and federal requirements the Swiss Museums remain closed until January 22nd 2021 . The public is obliged to wear the mask inside the Museum and keep the security distances.
Friday, Saturday, Sunday: 2 p.m. – 6 p.m.
CHF 6.- per person CHF 20.- for families from 4 people. 1/2 price for students (card holders). 1/2 price on admission and catalogues purchase for members of Association of Art Historians in Switzerland. Free of charge for holders of Swiss Museums Pass, Raiffeisen card, card holders of the museums partnered with MACT/CACT. Free admission for kids under 10 year old. Ticino Turismo card is not accepted
