Designed around 1905, with the artist’s monogram woven into the edge of a narrow, shorter side. Probably made by Simon Fränkel, Krefeld. White and blue half-linen damask with continuous hemstitch and an axially symmetrical border composed of rounded triangular shapes in a repeating pattern and a large central rectangle with two mirrored star ornaments composed of bundles of orthogonal and diagonal lines, a rounded corner motif matching the border, and two small, empty central squares. Rare Art Nouveau damask with two small, worn sections in the center. Dimensions: 220 x 155 cm.
